Spoke to Lou and Brian at work today and when Alstroemeria's were mentioned it came to mind their close climbing relatives in the genus Bomaria. I would love this particular one (in the link) as its almost continuous flowering once established with evergreen foliage. It would of course have to be overwintered inside.

Absolutely no idea where I would get one from or indeed any other in the genus. I did id one for Moorbank Botanical garden as they had no idea what it was!!!

I find that a little shocking really....

Availability could be a little tricky though.

Very tempting but it says " protection from severe frost" which after the last two years means you'd have to have a heated GH.

Just had a very quick look...some lovely ones....will have a good look later......might just try and find room in the tunnel for one
