Our Blue tits have fledged for a few days now. They stand on the food flapping their wings, demanding to be fed and Mum and Dad poke food into them as fast as they can. When the parents fly off all the fledglings quite happily feed themselves.

I discovered a Wren's nest this morning with a lot of tweeting coming from it. I don't like getting too close so I'm not sure how far on these are.

The first families of Swallows have fledged and the parents are now giving them flying lessons, you couldn't buy a sight that spectacular.

Aren't Swallows a happy lot, I like this time of year......just wish it was a bit warmer.

It's another world here WF, 13 degrees today cooler in the wind. I was wearing winter gear and still felt cold. I was washing plant-pots yesterday and my hands stiffened.
