Not got them yet Derek but looking forward to filling them in, hope they don't all hide because they know I'm watching them! ;D

We've had a blackcap in the garden over the last few days, very rarely see them here, never in the summer & I've only ever seen one or two in winter. I tried to take a photo quickly through the kitchen window but unfortunately focused on the crab apple tree! You can just see him on the bird feeder in the centre, there are mealworms & suet/berry nibbles on there, not sure which he was eating.

It is a very neat looking little bird, I think the last one I saw was a female with the brown cap, not seen him today so I hope he hasn't moved on already.

I have managed to acquire two squirrels and they have tipped out all the fat balls from the bird feeders. I hung them on strings, but the squirrels then pulled up the string with their front paws and tipped them out. Husband is now getting cross that the birds are going to cost even more money, because I will have to get protective covers of some sort.

Clever squirrels, you'll have to rig up one of those complicated systems Cherry like this video they show sometimes on TV of the squirrel to the music from 'Mission Impossible' figuring out how to get to the bird food!
We have about 5 male blackbirds arguing over who owns our garden at the moment along with a couple of females, going to be interesting when breeding season starts if they're all still here! ;D

We are now feeding our local badger as well as all the birds. Must remember to check under the upturned metal wheelbarrow to see if a hedgehog has decided to hibernate there. I left a small gap to get under ans plenty of leaves inside.. Fingers crossed!

Anything under the wheelbarrow Sweetpea? I haven't looked yet as it has hardly stopped raining. Will get round to it though.
