I think I may start to wake mine next week, they will be in for a shock! I am going to try and get as many cuttings off them as possible this year as all the tubers seem to be ok, I want to build up my stock a bit as need more than 3 of each variety. If you have 3 tubers of each variety, you should be able to take plenty of cuttings.

I found another garden forum tonight, i recognized a couple of names on the forum. There were 15 pages on dahlias, and they seem to be doing ok so they do not require any help from me. I did read all their posts though from last year. ;D I wonder if they would pay a signing on fee.

Got a phone call last night to say that an allotment had become available.Been to see it this morning and have decided to take it so my work has just doubled.I will be able to space my dahlias out in my other allotment now instead of 240 under cover I will grow 180 in that garden and probablys the same in the other so with poms I will be growing about 400 this year 360 under cover.

Good news DC. It is enjoyable work though, therefore it is not 'work'.

Been to my new allotment to have a measure up it is about 70 feet long and 26 feet wide with 2 good strong sheds on.It is split into two as parts as the person who had it before me had hens on it.The main part is about 45 feet which is where I will grow my dahlias.I might grow some gladioli in the other bit and maybe some sweet peas. most Pot tubers in the greenhouse are showing signs of life now but the ground tubers are a little slow.Time to start planning what varieties of dahlias to grow and how many of each.
