I've got some Bishops children coming up from seed I have some bishops children also Steve grown from bought seed. I only manages to get a few to germinate. ( sorry i didn`t read this section earlier ) I`ve not been very sucessful in growing dahlias that flowered well , either the cold has stunted them or something chomps them to bits. These little babies are getting plenty of TLC .

when i was doing some packing the other day i found a envelope with some seeds in that i had collected from some collarettes last year, i do not think i will have time to sow them this year. Its getting a bit late now for sowing them now anyway.

The leaves go kind of hard and pointed upwards, growing to about 4-6 inches . I have planted them out like that, among a mass of bedding and perennials but they disapear with out flowering never to be seen again

Planted out 172 seedlings so far, about another 400 to plant out yet. These seedlings are been planted about a foot apart.

Counted up the dahlia seedlings, they are in total 614, 255 of those still to be planted out.
