a lot of hard work there bists, makes me tired just looking at the pictures ;D Sooooo tired this week. Thank God it's Friday...didn't get finished what we wanted ....and some cowboys want to charge £320 to deliver, and collect a mini crane to lift the statue...when it's only £250 to hire it for the day. Argggh

Hurrah hurrah hurrah.....after a couple of knackering weeks, we're actually making progress at last. I've been that tired, I haven't even bothered to turn on the computer!!! Anyway, the new scented terrace is finally taking shape.... The statue is now in place...only took 7 of us, 15 pallets, a pallet truck, and some kind of feat of engineering, akin to The Krypton Factor!! I'm off to a couple of tree nurseries this weekend, to find a couple of multistem Acer Griseums, may favourite tree of all, a couple of huge standard Catalpa's, and 8 multistem Catalpa Aurea...no rest for the wicked!! Onwards and upwards....gates, railings, bowers and seven rose arches should be arriving in the next month.....something I can leave to other people

wow what a difference, no wonder you've been tired, it's going to look so nice once it's finished. I like the choice of trees ;D

Well it's only 3 months since I've updated my blog The gardens at Thornbridge have all come together at last. The new scented terrace no has the bare bones completed - well kind of -. There's still more ironwork to be completed, and more trees, Roses and Irises to arrive in Autumn. IMG]http://i53.tinypic.com/vn2xd1.jpg[/IMG] IMG]http://i56.tinypic.com/29p45tu.jpg[/IMG] Starting to look like a real garden at last. The planting was only finished a couple of days before our annual Garden Party which took place on July 3rd. Now in full scale preparation to open the garden for the NGS on 21st August. Now the majority of the planting is done I may be able to get back to normal

I am really pleased you have come back. This is a very interesting thread. I love the last two pictures. The view across the terrace is great with the building looking imposing on the right. Great photographs and very good work.
