I have known Dahlias from a novice class win best in show so who knows. Win instruments indeed. That's great I was British Baker for twelve years running and made two Royal Wedding cakes so ner ner ner ner . Hehe It is also great to have a laugh. Ian

I saw that ian in the annual. So why are you not on British bake off instead of paul ? You should have twisted Mary berrys arm at wisley Who knows what will happen with my dahlia growing next year. One thing for sure I Will give it 110%

Going to need a lot of luck as well I think ian plus a bigger pay packet the amount I have to buy. Got my agm in a couple of weeks. See what Dave s thinks good for new releases as he is doing a talk on it.

ian Lifted some bedding ones today tubors good pretty big for such a small dahlia but got some crown rot. Should I trim all the rot off core them and treat with sulphur ? Once they have dried for a week or so

Prep the TUBERS up as long as you protect the crown you will be ok say Tubers Tubers Tubers not Tubors

Hi Ian they are both miniature decs. They are called Garla (yellow) and Vulcan (red) I am replacing Pip with Vulcan and Garla will replace Marston Lilac I tried again this year It did have a good year but there are better varieties than Lilac. Will I have cuttings at Crookland's of course for you.

It is no good putting a lot of work into growing for exhibition, if you are not serious about winning. Have faith in your ability to win. I don't really have to say that on this subject as our exhibitors are winners.
