It is with great sadness I have to report the death of my great friend Mr John Parkinson he passed away today. John was my mentor when I started with Dahlias and certainly when I started judging was a great help. John was a great Dahlia man and an excellent judge he was chairman of judges at Harrogate a job he did for many years and the job I do now. I will miss him a great deal a great man that will be missed by the Dahlia world. Good night John RIP (Dad)

Some near me still flowering robh . Thanks for info on that picture. That one still flowering in a neighbours garden I think they leave it in overwinter. Next year I will leave the ones I won't be keeping in and keep feeding so they go on until first frost. I was too light with the feed this year. They flowered themselves out by mid October really bar a couple of them. Also with restricting the number of stems and disbudding it will help as well.

Hi robh I am going to use miracle grow as my balanced feed. Then onto high potash depending on variety. I will use maxicrop and comfrey foliar feeds I am just nervous of overfeeding. Did your parcel arrive Rob ?
