How does Hillcrest Jersie compare with Ruskin Myra, Ryecroft Zoe? Hi Moonlight I think if you had those 3 varieties together side by side I don't think their would be a lot of difference between them.

Hi robh I know what you mean I grow 450 plants over 38 varieties this year far to many, so cutting down by at least 10 varieties for next year.

Moonlight, Just to remind you Hillcrest Jersie is a straight Cactus Yes looked it up colouring looks similar type of blend combination of Myra and Zoe. I grew mine next to each other difficult to see them apart at times, had to make sure that I followed blooms down to the stalk to make sure had the right one for the shows. Made a vase of 3 with them. Some shows have vase of 3 based on size, maybe might make an interesting vase of 1 of each with Jersie in the middle. (n.b. I am sure that there must be some people that would at the thought of doing something so crass in an exhibit.) As I said to my Dad I am never going to be a big exhibitor in the championship classes.

Hi Moonlight Do not be worried about exhibiting a mixed vases if the blooms are the same size and the centres are the same there is no reason why it shouldn't be in-contention for a prize. I am happy to exhibit mixed vases at local shows.

Think it looks more like a Paul Chester/Lindas Chester cross.

Well, I'm all set for winter, I think . Just a couple of tubers to come, and they'll all be tucked up nicely. Roll on the end of January

Have almost lifted all my tubers. Some of them have already started to come into life and are producing shoots. Must be the warmer weather we are experiencing here in Surrey.

About 6 or 7 of mine diggie have clear eyes showing. Very mild here as well. To mild really we need some cold . I have iris coming up already that didn't flower until April this year. I even have a agapanthus repeat flowering which is very strange. I will post a pic of the agapanthus tomorrow.
