Took 14 tubs to bishop auckland society show this morning,managed 6 firsts,5 seconds and 5 thirds,the silver medal for the 3 vases of three dahlias with kenora challenger and 2 vases of eastwood moonlight and the society trophy for most points in show.Won the poms with gurtla twilight,mini decs with dikara superb,medium cactus with ruskin michelle,mini cactus with weston pirate and the 3 dahlia blooms one bloom per vase with eastwood moonlight ryecroft brenda t and cherwell goldcrest.Well done everyone who has shown and picked up prizes this weekend.  do you have any photos? Would love to see them.

I had a show at the weekend as well.
n.b. Photo taken after the show had finished which is why there are not a lot of other dahlias in the photo. Honest 
I achieved a 3rd for my Jomanda, a 2nd for my Marston George and a 1st, 3rd and a NAS with my Weston Pirates.
So I was happy. Rain damaged all my other dahlias, so I didn't have a lot of options. I picked 3 more Weston Pirates but I didn't pack them well enough and they were damaged when we arrived. A lesson to live and learn.

Well done everyone All great results. Hope Brian is feeling better soon Lou78W thanks Rosie....doctor visited today as he is still coughing like mad after a week of the a.biotics. The infection has gone and everything else seems ok...if the cough still persists......they will arrange an ex-ray x. We have cancelled our week-end away though....don't fancy him coughing in my ear all weekend....  |

Got loads of photos Lou of the 4 shows I have been in as well as photos of the allotment and leeds dahlia trials just I have got a new phone and I am struggling to download the drivers for it.Now I am not as busy up the garden I will try and get it done for the weekend.
