I have another selection of pot tubers for sale on ebay if anyone is interested.Leopold chloe,dikara superb,hillcrest kismet,charlie two,alvas supreme,kenora challenger,marys jomanda,eastwood moonlight,joan walker,cream moonlight,ruskin harmony and leopold sophie once I find a picture of it.

Anyone else order mini plants from Halls or has everyone that has ordered ordered tubers? I've ordered plants from Station House and might order from the National dahlia collection + the tubers from the US and then maybe a couple from Porters.....
Moomlight, I'm new to the forum so have just seen your message. I have had plants from Halls before, and they have always been good quality. The same goes for the National Dahlia Collection, Penny Issacs who runs it is very helpful as well. I like Swan Island Dahlias, but find the shipping a bit steep when you add on the certificate cost. I've found a few Dutch and French suppliers who do the same as Swans. Can you tell me if Porters have a website as I can't find them.

Tel, that's just not fair!! I think the sand in the propagator box got to dry to spread the heat. Have topped up with water so hopefully see some life soon. Love the pictures of your greenhouse in growth |

Thanks Tel, I will give them a ring, though the good lady might say, enough is enough  . When I do get to take cutting, I'm going to use Sinclair seed and propagating compost and was going to add some perlite to it, what do you think? |

Some growers add perlite or vermiculite to their seed and cutting compost, it opens it up and helps with drainage, keep the compost damp but not wet. |

Candyblue, I've just seen some photos of Duncan Edwards and it looks fantastic. Had something similar with Black Jack a couple of years ago, but Duncan Edwards looks a much better flower.

How romantic can you get . If I brought my wife a dahlia for valentines I'm not sure where it would end up LOL!!! I've just received two tubers from Graines Baumaux which I really like the look of. They have a really good selection and the tubers are a good quality.   |
