I'm also after, Rossendale Hero and Ryecroft Jan, if anybody out there has them or knows where I can find them, that would be great.

Had a good afternoon at Halls; David very kindly showed us round "back of house" and walked the dahlia field with us....until it decided to rain. Managed to get a few pics....still lots of colourful blooms to see. Very enjoyable afternoon

I have some planted on the allotment, about 4 I think, they were planted in their small pots into the ground. So if scrumpy cannot supply you, I will see how mine turn out, so you have two chances of getting one or two now.

Yes I totally agree thanks for the offer Ian but my allotment will not grow this variety it have tried stock from both phil watson , and ian Sutherland both national champions but still no good It can be confusing who people really are with user names westauckland, Ian Sutherland is Ian on here. I think all dahlia growers should let other growers know who they are. I will start it off. I am Terry Haigh From Bradford West Yorkshire. I'm Mark Elliott from Allendale Northumberland.

I've been trying to collect seed heads but think I've fought a loosing battle. The weather has probably finished off my dahlias today. We had strong winds, gusts, heavy rain, hail and a bit of thunder thrown in for good measure. There won't be time to dry out all the seed heads naturally. I can't pick everything in one go because it will rot before I get to look inside for seeds. Trying to think of alternatives.
