Tel what about Claire De lune won in Kent and wins a lot down here. Heard it's consistent. John Carter swears by it he went back to it after many years as he found nothing else matched it for consistency. He is trying Ann breckenfelder again also. I have been looking at Claire De Lune. Could be one of them.

@raymond We are based in Falkirk area in central Scotland. Not a good place to grow moonlights or Dianne's but the pastelles grow great with us. They have good form but sometimes can get very big so just watch if you choose them. Raymond we grow collarettes and waterlilies, they are very good and produce lots of flowers. My Papa grows large cactus - he won the large championship before - hes looking to do again this year, He is growing Challanger, Reg keene(halls stock) and trying clearview Louise- which looks good in pictures. Always found hamari accord to be very flat and lack any depth. If you are looking for a mini dec you cant go wrong with dikara superb or marston George. Many thanks Sean Thanks Sean nice to chat to a fellow Scot. There are a few of us on here. They showed Clearview Sundance in Kent. Looked good. I think all in all I need to leave the large this year and concentrate on the smalls and miniature. I had shortlisted waterlily tarahati ruby, kiburn rose and cameo. Collarette Clair De lune and birkenshaw garden friends Can't do them all so tough decisions to be made. Min Dec dikara superb and marston George shortlisted will be one or the other or a barberry.

A few pictures of god knows what flush we are on at the moment Louise getting more and more refined, and still hitting the ring. Plants are top heavy and this one I tied up before taking the photo as it was near the floor Same with the moonlight, had bent over, but still clean as a whistle and the Zoes, these have had 3 days of rain and strong winds on them, still up to size, and finally, Vals Candy. Apart from a couple of bruised petals, really good bloom

Hi Raymond, My name is Diggie and I would very much like to join your forum.I am a novice Dahlia grower and I started growing Dahlias in 2014. I see that you are looking to grow a mini dec. next year. I agree with Sean that Dikara Superb would be a good choice. I grew Dikara Superb this year and exhibited a vase at a show in September and to my complete surprise I got a first. Hope this helps you make up your mind.
