Got a nice selection of Mary's, Jan, Softer Gleam and Zoes's to take to the shop today. That will be it for this year. Made about £130 since early September when I first started selling there. Will sell sweet peas to them as well next year.

Resounding No because he wanted to keep the seed.
I love your garden it is so organised and precise, wish I could be more like you.

Harrogate show moan, while I was staging at Harrogate, I wanted 3 late entries. The show Secretary rightly said on two of my late entries, it would be the early hours of the morning before he could accept them or not, because there were a lot of entries still to come. those two entries were accepted during the night. My other entry in the seedling classes was rejected has soon as I asked for a late entry. The secretary stated no late entries were allowed at all. I had to accept that decision by him. Needless to say I was not a happy bunny about it, seeing has the sports and seedling classes, are in division B
SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS Entries received after noon on the Saturday prior to the show, or not accompanied by the correct fees for each exhibit, will not be accepted. Names of cultivars must be shown, both on the name cards for the exhibit and on the entry card. Entry Fees are non-returnable and are detailed on the entry form. No late entries whatsoever will be accepted in the Championship classes. Late Additional Entries will be accepted in Division B, Special Classes, and Divisions C and D only, provided space is available, between 5.00p.m. on Thursday and 6.00 a.m. only on the morning of the show, at a fee stated on the entry form, i.e. from exhibitors already holding an Exhibitor Number. Substitution of classes for those previously entered is not permitted.

Hi Ian, If you are after a small Cactus then Les Jacksons Hillcrest Jersie is excellent it is a straight Cactus orange/ peach colour £18 per Tuber postage paid or I will have plants Athabaskan AGM in Birmingham or at Crookland's
Barbarry Garla and Barbarry Vulcan both look good both miniature decs Garla is yellow and Vulcan is red both available from the raiser £15 per root or again I will have some plants.
Donald Kershaw has a new miniature dec yellow with an orange centre very good it is a hard petal and takes all the weather does not mark (how many can you say that about apart from Brenda T and Duncan Edwards)
Clearview Edie a large White semi Cactus looks pretty good but also soft petal.available from David Kent
But apart from that not a lot

Well that is up to you the difference being Hillcrest Jersie is a seedling raised by Les Jackson it is a welcome variety it will compete with the best and has quite a lot of exposure on the bench. Now If you get 10 -12 plants from the tuber then the plants are cheap. The raiser only gets one chance and this seedling has probably been in the pipe line for quite a number of years. The Zoe sport as you know I have judged it and yes it's a welcome addition to the semicactus class and will compete with the best it is a sport and in my opinion I would be showing it in the sports class at Harrogate and getting it on the bench at the bigger shows again more exposure. Whilst building up the stock. It is great that you don't need the money and you are allowing other growers to have the benefit of a new sport. You could sell pot tubers of it or let someone release it for you and for doing nothing you will receive a royalty of around £1 per plant.
So when you have sent me my two tubers (free) put the price up Hehe
All the best regards Ian

I will have to stop collecting all this dahlia seed, at this rate, there will not be room for anything else on the allotment.
