Cheers Ian, I hope they get a good turnout. I'm sure the Carters and co will have planty entered. Dead handy when your allotment plot is within throwing distance of the show venue. I will be there at 5.30 am and then have to move like the clappers to be done for 10 o'clock. Cant do 2 x 2hr round trips like I did last week. Plenty of cotton buds needed for my medium decs, fly crap not good on light petals. Miniatures look Ok but even they have the odd sign of weather where the rain has sat on their petals for too long. Best of luck for all your shows coming up. You never know you might get that 3rd Terry Clarke ? Its all on the day. See you at Wisley !! Good luck Mark. Thanks Tel, I will be happy to get what I'm taking in a vase let alone get a few cards. 5 x Charlie Two White - 'Complete with Fly **** marks' 7 x Charlie Two Yellow. 20 x Barbarry Surprise 12 x Mary's Jomanda. 6 x Marston Margaret 16 x Marston George. 12 x Gwyneth 12 x Hallmark 14 x Moore Place. 31 x Gurtla Twilight. Must need my head testing, if theres a shortage of vases then I'm buggered, but with this lot even if there is enough vases cant see me staging that many in 4 hrs.

Just cut about 50 2nd flush blooms for a show tomorrow. Will get a few really good vases of Zoe sport, and have some amazing Bonaventure for the championship. Need 2 for that, and one for individual giant. That one is huge !!

Well that was fun. It was so dark in the marquee I wish I'd taken my torch so I could see what I was doing. Thank goodness I'd sorted them into sets at home first, otherwise no chance. Anyway, that was the most dahlias I've seen at a show this year. More than Shrewsbury, more than Southport. Met a few growers from long ago who used to show at Shrewsbury who were showing there, so plenty of good competition. No idea what everyone elses bloms are like as it was so dark even the whites looked black, so we'll have a proper look tomorrow. Managed 8 classes plus the championship, so any winners will be well won.
PS, The veg was amazing too. Again, far better onions and leeks than Shrewsbury and Southport.

Will be going down to the allotment this afternoon, to see what I can take to the Harden Beck show tomorrow. The last time I exhibited there was 3 years ago, finished 2nd in the 3 vase championship.

One more show I've entered. Malvern Autumn show. Entered 10 classes, plus the championship. Luckily you only need 3 per vase, so we'll see how the 2nd flush compares. Never entered this one before so will be good to see what others enter. Only found out they had a show as my mate is into the giant veg and was going down to have a look at them and found a normal veg show schedule. So he's entering too.
