Excellent very well done Sue.... who was it taught you? ;D[/color] A team effort, we are so lucky to have so many dahlia growers all on one garden forum. I have not come across another with so many as this forum, long may it continue, because no matter how experienced we think we are we can still learn from each other.

Who was upset, by the way?

Who was upset, by the way? It's a village thing I'm not in the clique so if I win at the show it is their chance to stick 100 knives in my back and slowly twist them. The dahlia cup is their Holly grail, so being childish, I asked Tel if he would help me win it. They didn't like me much before, they hate me now ;D

After your success this weekend WF...you will feel sad leaving "Dahlia growing for beginners".......you have "earned your stripes " and ......you will have to join the "big boys" (and girls) now.... ;D

Lou that just leaves me in the beginners' class now.
WF we really should try for some sweet peas next year. I will be in that and they are much easier.

It is only one show Lou, I'm not ready to leave my comfort zone yet When I take my own cuttings, grow them on, get beautiful flowers and win in a show with good competition without shouting 'help' to Tel every five minutes. I may start an intermediate thread ;D I might have to try sweetpeas next Cherry.
