Thanks everyone I had a very successful show I won the cup for most points in show  I was so suprised! Took first with marys jomanda second with jomanda and third with brians dream all in one class.I won the poms with moorplace won the small ball with blyton soft gleam second with Brenda t second with nargold third with embrace and daleko Jupiter and second with med cactus of different varieties.Phew I'm worn out after all that and staging veg as well Oops....just seen this ;D....this is fantastic.....get yourself over to the other thread.you deserve to be among the experts a lot more than me!! WELL DONE YOU  ps: I had hoped to show one of your Nargold with my med. cactus vase..but it wasn't quite ready  My big win was with 5 matched Mary's Jomanda....was pretty pleased with these. I had a first and a third with Weston Spanish Dancer ....Didn't we all do well ;D....its now down to the boys to uphold the standard "us girls" have set.... ;D ;D |

I have just had a phone call from the chairwoman of my local show, I have a garden inspection tomorrow, someone said I didn't grow the dahlias I entered into the show.
I said they wouldn't like it, I was expecting some back stabbing but I didn't expect this. Don't you just love local shows ;D

I would love to be a fly on the wall when you take your guest's ( i am been polite there) to look at the area you are growing them. ;D Just tell them you think your dahlias are rubbish and you have ordered some tubers of a superior variety for next years show and watch their faces drop. The backend of this week you should receive a letter in the post from their committee to inform you, they have decided to bar you from next years show.   ;D |

Listen carefully to this WF. This should be reported by the local paper. Let them know to come at the same time, or send a letter to them with a photograph of the inspection. I mean it and the paper will like it.
