That is fantastic Tel. Congratulations. I like that perfect cabbage. It really is so perfect. I saw it when it was a bunch of tall loose leaves which were protecting the small heart.

Seems like its been a very succesful weekend all round, I went to Harrogate yesterday and was amazed at how big the show was so it really was an excellent success for you.
On Saturday at my local show I won the dahlia cup and managed to win all the classes I entered so was very pleased, thats it until next year for me show wise but after seeing how many more vaireities I would like for next year and Rob wants lots of chrysanthemums too I think next year will be a very busy year!

Well done all of you on the show benches I admire your dedication to the art of dahlia growing. Some of mine have come so late that were I to be showing I wouldn't, if you see what I mean. Have got some cracking Bryn Terfel and Debra Ann Craven, eventually, reminder to oneself: must do better next year! Mind you, I am cutting close on a 1,000 stems a week for New Covent Garden Flower Market and others so I can't complain

Congrats to you all on the great results, looking at all the photos I think dahlias must be one of the most 'perfect' flowers in competition, sometimes the winners look almost as if they're not real the petals are so carefully crafted by nature (& of course the hard work put in by the growers!). Tel., I like the little cucumber on the doily, my kind of entry! ;D
