Hi moonlight it's a new one from Ken stock called strike a light . I emailed him last week just to say I liked his website and he got back to me with the nicest email. We have been emailing back and forth. I sent him my list of show ones and he suggested I try this of his. It is a cross from a kenora and one of his Mayan seedlings. I am going to try this instead of kenora sunset. Why not I thought. I love bi colour dahlias. I also like the charity one of his on ndc called Dame Deirdre. Was going to do Wootton impact but will do that one as instead. Will place the order tomorrow. Both are for front garden display. Will also try 2 others of his Charlie dimmock and Mayan pearl. I also said he should join garden friends. I hope he does with his knowledge of breeding and seedlings I think people like you and tel would love chatting to him. Such a lovely man in the emails been a total pleasure chatting to him. He also likes Hapet dahlias like me !

Good Evening Ian I am going to take your advice this evening I am going to phone Les Jackson an order a tuber of Hillcrest Jersie. I am going to have a crack at the small cactus championship at Harrogate next year. Jersie, Ruskin Myra, Ryecroft Zoe, Cherwell Goldcrest, Oakwood Goldcrest, also grow Kelsea Carla.

I have jersie coming Ian k . I am doing that with ryecroft zoe. I am tempted to also add in Another in front garden display. Was going to try a kiwi but think will wait on that. Heard good reports on kelsea Carla I might add that one in front display but do numbers gives me another option .

Kelsea Carla has been around for a long time now it grows about 4foot tall. With very good full size blooms looks well in the garden.

Thank you ian I think I will go with that do 5 of them should put on a nice show. And if lucky an extra option. If you where to pick a lilac coloured one which would you choose ? lavender line cherwell lapwing. Kiwi Gloria obvious choice but not sure I am capable of growing a good kiwi. I am also toying with pink suffusion in garden display as well as back up to winholm Diane. Is it any good ?

Pink Suffusion is excellent but you will have to grow it like a medium and only grow it 4 up if you are to show it it is very small but great form now what you can do is plant two plants in one hole then grow four on each this will save you space.
No contest Gloria every time. Lavender Line is a good Dahlia good form the petals are blunt at the tips but still a good Dahlia.

Thanks ian. I will toy with the planning. Might look for a second miniature rather than another small. No rush to decide. Thanks for tip on pink suffusion. Very nice looking dahlia. Will add this in. Slowly all is coming together which is good.

Hi Raymond if you want a tuber of Kelsea Carla not a problem got mine direct from the raiser Tony Hindle also a member of Bishop Auckland C&D Society. Hi Ian that would be great. I am also going for a small cactus class but not harrogate ! Hahaha the Arthur dashwood trophy in Kent. Can be small or miniature 2 cultivars 3 blooms per vase. Need to pick a back up to Weston pirate. What you think of Phil's kelpie ? Or aitara caress ? Another option Hapet ideal which I plan to do as a bi colour . These are all secondary in garden display

As I am doing the Ken stock strike a light which is my avatar not sure I want another red and yellow bi color. Lovely dahlia mind you.
Thanks for suggesting it Ian
Or carols Spanish dancer ? Or I could go ryecroft pixie as a short cultivar in front.
All these in front garden so heights will play a part. Trying to fit 40 plants in.
