After a lot of thought this is my wish list. Barbarry Surprise Marston Lilac Weston Sunup Hillcrest Candy Majestic Athalie Eastwood Star Grand Duc Barbarry Pip - not sure another waterlilly, another large pom + another US I'm doing Barbarry Surprise, Barbarry Pip, and Hillcrest Candy next year. Had Peach Athalie as a mystery tuber from The National Dahlia Collection this year, lovely coloured miniature cactus. Just kept the cuttings as pot tubers, so hopefully get them through the winter Good to hear that you were happy with the tuber that they sent you, I thought that they only sold cuttings. How did you manage to get a tuber?

Moonlight, every year they have tubers left over with no labels. They offer these for sale in December, I think it's £9 for six tubers. But you take the risk of not knowing what they are, so I grow mine, take cuttings, and use them as pot tubers, till I can Identify them. Then discard the ones I don't want, and keep the ones I do. Sometimes it's good news, and sometimes nothing, but it's a bit of fun .

Orders we have received have been the wrong varieties which if this is the case, means the loss of a seasons growing but also a waste of money. My understanding is they convert the individual varieties into number codes and then convert them back for the orders. but received orders where the number code listed doesn't match the varieties ordered but also once in bloom, they are not the same variety of either the one listed on the number code or the one ordered. Been looking at their website today and have noticed that Majestic Athalie which we have tried to order before is no longer on their current list, so it would seem that that is another variety to end up in the great compost bin in the sky.
I wanted to grow this year, so very disappointed and I think that this was the last place that still grew it.

Try giving Penny Issacs on ,07879 337714. She handles all enquiries, and is a really nice lady. She'll be able to tell you if they still have it, some where on the farm . Good luck

I'm glad she was able to help moonlight. Are you going to order some mystery tubers Nope can't be tempted by the tubers. Most of my dahlias are single plant per variety, I don't really have space to grow any 'wild card' extras. My list gets bigger without any help.

I wonder if any one can help me, I'm looking for individual photos that I can crop to make a close up.
I am planning my dahlia plant layout for next year and I like to use photos rather than just name and type of dahlias to help me visualise what I'm planting. Currently looking for decent photo of: Marston Lilac, Barbarry Surprise and Barbarry Pip.
