Got my certificates today. Greenways Zoe and Greenways Moonlight now officially registered. Just got to get them on the benches at the big shows The Candy cuttings are looking OK at present. Will put them under the lights this weekend for 15 hours a day until end of December to try and get some decent growth.

Well done scrumpy, you must be well chuffed. I'm sure they'll both make the bench, in the near future

Just reading the directory and it looks like you have to send, I assume a tuber or plants, to the classification committee for trial. I'm sure Ian will know more.

Hi Srumpy and Tel well done on getting your Dahlias registered. If you want the NDS to classify them you have to submit to the committee not less than 5 open blooms of a cultivar flowers less than 6" 170mm and at least three blooms of any other variety. Applications are made to The general Secretary. She will let you know the time and venue of the next classification meeting. And guess what no charge for this service to members.June Nash (secretary) June.nash@dahlia-nds.co.uk the 32nd addition of the classified has just been published as you know. So there will not be another for two years may be three. You will probably find during this time if your blooms are shown they will probably be picked up by the classification committee any way and included in the next addition.
So just get them shown well now boys all the best Ian

Thanks for that Ian, Garden Friends will be at Harrogate next year, hopefully one of 3 vases in the Open Flower Championship. Scrumpy I am positive your sports will become well known on the show benches.

What are the benefits of classification, if a dahlia has already been registered?
