I shall give them a severe talking to Lou ;D Seriously, the standard process of cutting back, drying out and then trimming the stems right back usually gives them a clue ::)thats a relief. The ones that I have noticed sprouting have had the shoots rubbed off....I will be keeping a close watch on them

Lou, do you mean the ones you have dug up have new shoots coming on them? I noticed mine are beginning to sprout, should I rub these off?

Thats what I have been doing WF .....I expect as temperatures start to drop......the likelihood of them sprouting again will diminish

All pom tubers are trimmed down and dusted with sulphur powder, some were starting to show signs of mildew, these parts have been cut off and the wound dusted with sulphur. They are stored in wooden boxes under the staging in the greenhouse a fan is now being left on most of the day to circulate the air.Any frost forecast and they will be covered with fleece and parrafin heaters lit.

Do you not find that paraffin heaters create too much humidity?

I just hope we do not get those extreme cold temperatures that we had last year. It was on this day last year when that cold spell started with all that snow.
